Recently renovated (May, 2000) the villa (or "vila" - with one "l" - in portuguese) was built in the seventies and was part of a suburban development concept designed and implemented by the Santa Cruz municipality.
The glorious sun-drenched dry south coast of Madeira made the taking up of residence in this area a spectacular success.
Over the last 3 decades it has slowly been characterised as one of the areas of Madeira most strongly saturated with homes belonging to a variety of professionals (doctors, lawyers, hotel directors, and so on) and wealthy businessmen.
The
rich and sumptuously decorated interior of the top floor of the villa. A working
fireplace is heated by a gas element for the rare evening in winter when it
might get a little bit chilly.
