Madeira is not called the "Pearl of the Atlantic" for nothing.
This beautiful island, full of luxurious vegetation and breathtaking scenery,
is not to be missed. Although only 300 square miles, Madeira's climate
ranges from subtropical at sea level to temperate in the mountains.
At certain times of the year it is possible to throw snow balls on the
highest peaks and be sun bathing in glorious sunlight beside the sea half
an hour later. Each season has its special beauty, as there are wonderful
flowers all the year round.
