The property stands high in the Livramento area overlooking Funchal, the harbour and the sea. The surrounding areas include Monte (above and behind Livramento), São Roque and Levada da Corujeira west, the "Ribeira João Gomes" straddling close to the botanical gardens to the east, and the area of Santa Luzia below.
The view from any one of three balconies in the villa is awesome and enjoys sunlight all day round.

The closest main road is "Estrada do Livramento" and all city busses are easily accessible a short distance from the villa to the bus stops nearby. Taxi fares from central Funchal to the villa should vary around only €4,00 to €5,00 depending on traffic and route taken.

There is ample parking space for rent-a-car vehicles.

A supermarket is 5 minutes driving distance away whilst several restaurants and snack bars are close by (including the popular "Seta" restaurant where traditional Portuguese Fado music can be enjoyed live most evenings of the week).

The Quinta Palmeira gardens are in walking distance and if you are up to it you can also walk up to the Monte Palace gardens with its extraordinary collection of botanical exotic and indigenous specimens. The main freeway over Funchal is close by and allows easy access to all important areas of Funchal and the rest of the island.
