Massapiez Cottages:
(Located approximately 40 minutes from Funchal in Calheta)

These are two typical Madeiran stone cottages converted from an older structures. They are located on a cliff overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

The two cottages are lovingly renovated structures both comprising two floors each. One of the cottages has two bedrooms (or more correctly one-and-a-half bedrooms as the one bedroom is also the access to the bottom of the house). The smaller cottage is a one bedroom cottage. On the bottom of both cottages a cozy comfortable living room area with its own kitchenette and a shower bathroom are available. To get to the bedrooms in both cottages you climb up a short flight of steps to the top floors.

There are excellent barbecue facilities for each of the cottages. There is even an inside stone oven to bake real home made bread - just like the traditional Madeiran way.

Ample garden space with awesome sea views lies to the front of the cottages. Each cottage has its own bit of garden space before it.

IMPORTANT: We do have to inform that the cottages do reside on a cliff which means that there are several steps and steep inclines to walk up and down if you wish to walk around by foot to see the attractions nearby. If you are disabled or physically challenged this holiday cottage is not appropriatte for your needs. There might be just too many steps and steep inclines for you to be able to enjoy your holiday with safety and care! Moreover, if you suffer from sever vertigo you might find some of the awesome sea views challenging! Remember you are on a cliff overlooking the sea at this property!
