Marisol Apartments:

The Marisol self-catering partments are located in one of the spectacular amphitheatre-like parrish village of Arco da Calheta.

It is spoilt for location and views.

The climate here is about as good as it gets in Madeira and you are a stone's throw away from the popular and well kept Calheta Beach - at the moment the only beach with golden sand on the main island of Madeira.

Perhaps misleading is the idea that being in Calheta you are far away from everything. However, the excellent rapid motorway is nearby and in some cases you can get to parts of Funchal much quicker and easier than say from immediate neighbouring towns. Yet, why go to Funchal when all the facilities that is offered there can be found in Calheta too. Indeed, the renowned "Casa das Mudas", for example, hosts a rare collection of Picasso, De Koning and Dali, amongst others, works of art. There are some excellent restaurants nearby. Many nature trails and walks to do, and some spectacular sightseeing too. This is also the countryside of Madeira and has plenty of bananas and grapevines everywhere. The Marina in Calheta beach beats anything that can be found elsewhere in Madeira. The climate is still the most important outstanding featureof Calheta.

It would be of no surprise that many tourists and ex-pats call Calheta home now too.
