Nearly everything you can think of is nearby. Excellent restaurants, shopping centres, nightlife, cinemas, seaside swimming facilities, taxis, busses and local Funchalese living in their apartments.

Although a bit too far to walk to the city by foot (unless, you are fit and used to it) a short bus ride sees you intot he centre of Funchal with little or no hassle. Especailly considering the quantity of busses that is available to be had passing by at the mainthouroughfare of Monumental Lido less that 50 metres away.

Since the apartement block is next to some of the major hotels of Funchal you can partake in almost anything, from spa facilities, masseurs, fresh water swimming pools (some hotels charge a samll fee nor non-guests), gym facilities, gourmet restaurants (such as a Japanese Sushi restaurant at the Ocena Park hotel near the promenade), wine-tasting shops, arts and crafts and many shops that offer guides and tours of the island.
